Damsey-Extraordinary Dressage Stallion
Damsey is proving to be a most exceptional dressage stallion. His walk and his huge trot catch the eye of any serious dressage rider or judge. His bloodlines include the Who's Who of Hanoverian pedigrees--- Donnerhall, Rubinstein, Ritual/Ramiro and Grande. His materal lines includes many state's premium mares as well.
Damsey was licensed Hanoverian in 2005 and went through his 70 day testing until the final week of the testing when he came down with a fever and his previous owner decided not to have him continue sick nor take the average for the testing due to his magnificnet score so far. We applaud this previous owner for his concern putting the stallion first. We then were very lucky to have found him and bought him in December of 2005 and brought him the Hengststation Meyer to be a stall mate of His Highness!
We began his training in dressage and found him very talented! More than we would have imagined with him consistently scoring extremely well in compettions...his walk being his highlight with consistent 9.5's!
Damsey's sire Dressage Royal, who belongs to the famous Oldenburg dam line of Fasse III, completed his 30-Day Test in 2001 in Münster- Handorf with brilliant results. He won several riding horse performance tests and dressage horse performance tests. In 2003, he placed in the Federal Championships of five-year-old dressage horses and had a successful horse show season. Dressage Royal has produced a large number of foals, being sold through the Verden Elite auction program and the auction in Frauenfeld/SUI. The licensed Damsey belongs to his first foal crop.
Damsey's dam Ria Grande has also produced Damsey's half sister Daianira vd Helle (Dream of Glory) who placed 13th in the final of the World Championships of six-year-old dressage horses in 2005 with her rider Vicky Smits/BEL and third (with over 80%) in the Flanders Open/BEL. In 2004, Daianira vd Helle placed sixth in the final of the World Championships of five-year-old dressage horses. Dam father Ritual is a great sire of show horses of all disciplines. The prize money in competition of his descendants, like Rainy Day (Alois Pollmann- Schweckhorst), Ramadan Z (Eduardo Netto de Almeida/POR), Rubia (Axel Milkau) and Resonanz (Hartwog Rhode) is more than 362,000 Euros in 2005. Ritual is sire of 14 licensed sons, among them Rudelsburg, sire of Rulanda (ridden by Imke Harms), champion of the German Show Jumping Masters in 2005. Damsey's granddam, the States Premium mare Grandizza produced the successful driving horse Rosewood (Ritual) and the two States Premium mares Rituals Praline (Ritual) and Dea (De Niro). Grandizza's half sister Tiffany (Tannenberg) placed highly in dressage tests up to medium level.
