Patrick L--Pik L 2004 colt

Patrick L promises to be an exceptional young dressage prospect. His movement is elegant and floating and his temperment excellent.

"Paddy Man" was born one hour past St. Patrick's Day so we felt that we could justifiably give him the name of Patrick! We already owned a 1/2 sister of Patrick's-a mare called Pia Colada by Pik L that we had acquired at the Verden Germany Elite Mare and Foal auction. We found her an amazing mare and wanted to breed then to Pik L. We were not disappointed and find Patrick to be a super dressage prospect. We anticipate starting him this Spring under saddle. His dam White Lace is out of one of our best mare lines. Here is some information about his sire: For years Pik L dominated the small tour (Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I) at prestigious shows on the East coast with scores in the seventies. This culminated in the USDF Horse of the Year and a sweep of Dressage at Devon. Pik L showcased his tremendous temperament by winning the team gold medal and first place individually with Noel Williams at the 2005 USDF Junior Team Championships. In addition to these wins and maintaining a busy breeding schedule, Pik L also trained to Grand Prix. Pik L is an exceptional choice to refine larger mares. Pik L produces foals with easy temperaments that become horses with great rideability. With the blood of Pik Koening, he also produces the ability to jump. 100-day tested and licensed in Germany with an overall score of 128.6 placing him fourth place. Among the highlights were an 8.0 on character and temperament, 9.0 on his rideability and an 8.0 on his canter.
