De La Rosa "Dela"---chestnut DeNiro broodmare

Dela came to us in foal to Waterford from the Elite Mare and Foal auction in Verden, Germany. Her movement was exceptional and her conformation lovely. The fact we already had a mare from Germany named De La Rosa "Rosa" complicated things at first until we decided to put the "de" and "la" together and call her "Dela". Worked for us....
 

Dela is a beautiful chestnut DeNiro mare that shows her sire's talents very well. In looking over her mare performance scores from Germany I see that the test rider gave her a 10 in her walk for goodness sakes! Now that's a new one...and makes us realize how good a mare she is and what good taste we had to buy her!!! Her temperment is sweet and she had an 8.19 final on her testing. Actually, maybe she had the good sense to chose us in reality!
