Breeder and Foal True Stars!
His Highness filly premium at GOV inspection has a special story to tell all!
Debby Morrison contracted to breed to HH before he died. Her mare Samatha (Sandro Hit / Fedor) was GOV registerd and we looked forward to a foal out of this union. I got an excited emails from Debby all along the way from the 14 day check to just before the delivery. What excitment there was those last days and finally the big day arrived. She foaled at the clinic and was lovely indeed with 2 hind socks and a star. Debby was to go to the clinic that afternoon and promised to send me photos after her visit. Before going to the stall, the clinic asked that Debby talk with them first.
It was after this then that I got the sad email from her saying the beautiful dark bay filly she so loved had been born with only one eye--a condition called micro-ophthalmia... a non-heritable condition. It was then she decided to name her "Hope TF". Hope because in looking in the dictionary it defined hope as " the feeling that what is wanted can be had, or that events will turn out for the best." TF is for their farm Transitions Farm. This long legged beautiful filly was not to be unloved or given up on.
Debby took little "Hope" to New Bolton where she has had extensive diagnosis and the best of care by their eye vets there.
Yesterday Debby called to tell me that "Hope TF" had gone to the GOV inspection at Turning Point Farm and had received a premium with judges warm words and praise for this filly's gorgeous head and neck; her conformation and movement. Thus, you can imagine that once more those tears of mine started to flow again. She is a star...and her owner too!
